Today Kayla and I decided to take a break from the job applications to explore a little bit! We decided to go see the Red Rocks amphitheater and hike around the venue and take a few pictures. The red rocks are MASSIVE. It was amazing to see in person and I can't wait to be able to go to a concert there. We started at the top of the stadium and walked our way down to the stage. Of course we had to get our pictures there!

On our way out we stopped at the entryway, which looked like a cave, and took pictures around its edge. Kayla noticed a small bunny sitting right inside one of the rocks in a hole! We took his picture to show you. A car drove up and we asked the driver to take our picture. He definitely noticed our accents and asked where we lived. We have made a game out of where people think our accents come from. I have gotten guesses from New York to Texas, but never from Mississippi! After checking things out we drove around to the nearest hiking trail but decided to wait and go with a group next time because of the frequent signs warning us of mountain lion encounters.

We also came across a small chapel in Morrison, CO, right outside of the amphitheater! It was beautiful and located along a strip of stores and antique shops, hidden back from the road.
When we left the amphitheater we looked up the local MSU alumni chapter and where they met for games. We found a bar right outside of Denver that plays MSU games on the big screen and the alumni and fans meet each time. I was very excited to meet some of the local Mississippians! We walked into the bar and we were definitely the youngest people in there, but we still managed to make a few friends and we will be going back for the next game!
Towards the end of the night we met up with our new friend David to watch the rest of the State game and the Saints game at Moe's, a bar that also houses a bowling alley. Once the games were over we decided to head home and rest up because the ladies at the Colorado welcome center handed us several brochures earlier in the day about the local parks and hikes and we want to check out most of them this weekend. There is a zip line about two hours from here that we want to ride. You are strapped in and it takes you from the top all the way down the mountain and there is also a waterfall in Colorado Springs that is illuminated at night with many different colors!
I hope to have some more pictures for you soon!
