Labor Day was a wonderful way to start this week! I went and bought my season ski pass with my roommate, which was pretty exciting because it is the thing I am looking forward to the most this fall. We had to have our picture taken because they don't allow sharing of passes, and when I was handed my pass I looked at my picture and in the corner was a little boy staring straight at the camera right in the corner of my picture! I suppose he and I could share passes if needed! :)
Elizabeth Anne brought us to a cookout to see our new friends and meet many others. It was potluck, so we made cream cheese stuffed jalapenos wrapped in bacon... They were AMAZING. We visited for a while and decided to head home because we had a long day ahead of us. This morning Kayla and I both got up and dressed in our business attire to hand out resumes to places around town. I drove all over town for hours and at around 3 today I decided to head home and pick up where I had left off on my online applications and I just finished them about twenty minutes ago. Applying for so many jobs online becomes tiring after a while, so tomorrow I am going to change it up a bit and check out the local eateries and "hang outs" where the professionals that I hope to be colleagues with spend their time. I plan to be armed with business cards and resumes and I think that it will be a nice change of pace to what I have been doing and at the same time allow me to learn a little more about my new city and the people who live here.
I wish that I had pictures for you guys, but unless you wanted to check out my resume, there isn't much to see! ;) This weekend I am going to do some exploring, hiking, and sight seeing, so I will definitely have something good for you all very soon.
Loving and missing you!
