Hey guys! So much has happened in the past few days and we currently don't have internet so I am writing to you from my phone! I finally met up with my cousin's friend, David, who showed us around Denver and took us to a restaurant called the Cherry Cricket! He gave us a lot of information that we'll be needing in the coming months and he offered to forward my resume to his company, so my fingers are crossed that something will come through on the job front soon!
Kayla and I finally bought beds yesterday! We happened to be the last ones to get the last two beds on clearance so I was pretty excited about that. Our rooms are finally coming together and today I bought an amazing antique dresser at a thrift store. There are antique and thrift shops on every corner here and the merchandise is in really great condition.
I have had to remind myself numerous times that I'm not here to shop, especially since I discovered the local Cherry Creek Mall which houses Saks and Neimans. My two biggest addictions on the planet. Thank goodness I have been into decorating my room and not buying clothes!
We also finally turned in our rental applications so that we can sign the lease on Tuesday. I'm still getting used to the massive amount of people that live here. When I went to get my new driver's license today I quickly turned around and left, as the line was about 350 people long, even out the front door!
I wish that I could post pictures today but I will post them tomorrow when we get the internet back up and running!
