So our internet was giving us troubles all day yesterday or I would have written to you sooner! Friday night was our first official night out in downtown Denver. I expected it to be a big deal but I wasn't expecting the amount of people that were out that night! Being from the delta, a good night out is when maybe fifteen of your friends happen to be out with you on the same night! In Denver, there were hundreds and hundreds of people at just one bar and it was quite overwhelming, but lots of fun! We met some new friends from Michigan and hung out with them most of the night.
The next day we woke up and got dressed and ready for the Italian festival, which I have been anticipating for a week! I was very ready to eat some authentic Italian food and maybe have a drink or two. :) We drove to Lakewood and thought that the festival only covered one street, but it covered four! There were endless food booths and many of them had samples (my favorite). A fresh bread booth was the only one to convince me to buy... How could you not want spinach, feta cheese, red pepper, and mozzarella bread?!

The streets were lined with flags and I called my mom excited to tell her where I was. She gave me a brief lesson about my Sicilian heritage and told me to look out for the pastel colored almonds.

After a long day at the festival we drove to another friend's house for a pig roast and to meet some new Colorado people! We spent the early evening there and decided we were too tired to do anything else, so we headed home and went to sleep!
Also, we have a fourth roommate that we have yet to share with you. His name is Bentley and I am OBSESSED!
He is a Goldendoodle and has the best personality of any dog I have ever seen. He keeps me company during the days when I am home and applying for jobs!
Love and miss you!
