Wacky Wednesday

So this blog is going to be a random collaboration of things that have happened in the past couple of weeks!  For starters, Kayla's boyfriend, Josh, came to spend 10 days with us.  He got here last Friday and left this Sunday!  It was fun having him around and he participated in all of our obsessive TV show watching, cooked us dinner, and kept us company!  Kayla showed Josh around Denver, took him to New Belgium brewery, hiking in Estes Park, reading and relaxing in Wash Park, and gave him a tour of Boulder!  We miss you, Josh!

Kayla also started her new job this week as an LPN.  She has had tons of interesting stories to tell us about her patients.  Today one of her patients punched another nurse!  I was really glad that it wasn't her!  She works a couple of days on and has a couple of days off.  Our schedules are a bit off but when I get home from work we have lazy time on the couch and watch TV.  She is also finished decorating her room and wanted me to share it with you.  She got her furniture at the thrift stores as well.  We got really lucky to find such nice furniture in such good shape!

Today I had training at my work that lasted all day.  It was a nice change to be able to visit with some of my colleagues that I had yet to meet and I did have a little guilty pleasure in not answering the phones! :)  I was also pleased to discover all of the benefits that my work offers to me!  Besides the usual vacation/sick time, I get access to free services all year round, including free massages, vaccines, health tests, and food!  Every day something is happening in the office and most of the meetings that take place are catered by local restaurants... And I get to eat free lunch!  I took home my picture that my coworker gave to me of the Tetons, too.  I haven't decided where to hang it but it will definitely be displayed somewhere in the house!
We are getting more and more settled in with each passing day.  The weather is beginning to cool off and the leaves are turning colors.  This weekend I am going to Nederland to hike and check out the town.  More pictures to come!

Miss you guys!
