Boulder Falls Adventure

Hello!  This weekend was the most relaxing one that I have had since I've been here.  Friday I met up with the girls and we had a sushi dinner in Cherry Creek at Hapa.  For anyone who appreciates sushi, it is the best sushi place I've ever eaten at.  After dinner I went straight home and got into the bed!  I was probably asleep by ten!

Saturday I woke up and Elizabeth Anne and I ran our errands before heading to Nederland.  We drove to Boulder to pick up some of our friends to come along for the ride.  The road to Nederland was twisting, winding, and a bit scary!  Most of the way to the left was a winding creek that followed the road.  I didn't realize the high volume of rock climbers up that way but they were everywhere!  Once we finally got there I realized that Nederland wasn't at all what I had envisioned!  It was a very, very small country town.  Unlike Estes Park, which was very touristy and scattered with specialty shops, Nederland was very low key and very local.  It was also VERY cold.  It was about 43 degrees with a bit of wind at the top, so we did a little window shopping and headed right to the local barbecue place.  We joked that this restaurant didn't know much about barbecue from the south, but it was still good!  It was also a bit cloudy and misty which ended up being snow, but from a very far distance!

On the way back to Boulder we stopped to take a few pictures and walked to Boulder Falls, which was right off of the main road.  It was a gorgeous waterfall and we also watched some of the rock climbers.  One of them even had his dog with him!  We finally made it back to Denver and once again went to bed pretty early!

Yesterday I went on my search for ski boots.  I have decided to buy something every two weeks (thank you payday) so that I will be prepared when the snow comes!  Today I found the perfect pair and mom split them with me (Merry Christmas!)  The guy who fit me into my boots is also waxing my skis for the fair price of a 12 pack of PBR.  I thought he was kidding, but apparently he wasn't!  I love Colorado's idea of a fair swap!  It is snowing all around us but we haven't gotten any here yet.  It rained all day yesterday and today it was cold!

Miss you guys!
