So last weekend we spent Halloween in Boulder with some of our friends. Kayla and I were dressed as 80s prom, even though we forgot most of our costume accessories at home! We drove to Boulder and got dressed and went straight to a restaurant to watch the MSU game. The bar was supposed to close at 8 but the owner let us stay past time because of the game. He was also from Alabama and told us that he knew how much an SEC game meant to us! That night we went to a house party of some mutual friends and saw some pretty interesting costumes. When we finally made it back to Pearl Street it was crowded neck and neck with people dressed up. Imagine how hard it was to keep up with everyone in disguise!
Jeff abused people with his sword all night. He finally lost it sometime after midnight!
Oh you know, normal.
The people of Boulder are quite eccentric and I saw some costumes that I was intrigued by and some that I wish I had never seen (men in lingerie). We ran into an old man who we all decided had to be a professor. He was carrying around a cassette player listening to Halloween music from Quebec. He was enthralled by everything we had to say and told us that his favorite place to go was the cemetery up the road. I'm sure you could all guess we definitely did not stop by the cemetery to see what it was all about. We lost each other in the crowds quite a few times but ended up together at the end of the night. All in all it was wonderful! I love the small town feel of Boulder and being right in the mountains.
We also have been using our furnace in the house, which I am obsessed with. It warms the entire house in just a few minutes and it smells like Christmas everyday! Danny and Ricky are also here with us! They have moved to Denver and are staying with us until they find work and a place to live. It is nice having them around and they have become our handymen. They cook, chop the furnace wood and last night they both raked the yard. Ricky and I also do normal stuff like climb the tree in the backyard. We told them that they could live with us forever if they kept doing the dishes and cleaning up :) Us girls are in heaven!
Our Jackson Hole happy from Ricky!
What happens when we get bored.
I also have a few pictures from Katherine's surprise birthday party! (Just a little late)
She had no idea about the party!
We love you Kat!!!
I will continue to update you guys on whats going on and of course what goes on at work. My days are never boring when I am there!
Love you!
